Keeping your Website…and other important stuff

Now that we’re over halfway through the (best case) lockdown period I thought it might be timely to remind business owners especially about making sure that you renew your domain name for your website if it comes up for renewal. You need to renew this in advance because if it expires then your website name becomes available again and could be taken up by someone else.

Don’t forget your other subscriptions as well – Office 365, MYOB, Xero, your payroll software, anti-virus software etc.

Here at Green Mouse we’re planning on emailing out a weekly newsletter during lockdown to remind our clients that we’re still here and still working. Even if you’re closed it may pay to keep in touch with regular clients. We don’t know exactly what the business environment will look like after this is all over, or even to what extent it will be all over in the near to medium future. However I think we can probably anticipate a rush to ‘catch up’ in particular industries, where people have been waiting to have things done or have been missing particular activities. The move to Alert Level 4 came quickly, with little warning, and the move back out of it may be similarly abrupt. No doubt we’re all planning for every foreseeable scenario.

Green Mouse continues to operate remotely during the lockdown. Our team is working from home but most of the work we usually do can be conducted remotely. We’re using the application Teamviewer for this. We can help you out with any computer issue as well as supplying computer equipment and consumables such as printer ink and toners – couriered directly to your door.
