Jayden K. Smith – It’s a Hoax

I’ve received several Facebook messages in the last week from my conscientious friends and family warning me that I’m at risk of being hacked, and not to accept friend requests from Jayden K. Smith. This is the text:

“Please tell all the contacts in your messenger list not to accept Jayden K. Smith friendship request. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebook account. If one of your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked so make sure that all your friends know it…”

It’s a hoax everyone. You don’t have to forward it to all of your contacts – just ignore it.

However, it is very good advice to be careful who you accept a friendship request from on Facebook. Don’t accept requests from people you don’t know, or from someone who you’ve already accepted. Duplicate requests are often from hacked accounts.

If you receive a duplicate friend request please let the friend in question know because they may well have had their account hacked.
