I think we were all fairly relieved yesterday to hear that the move to Alert Level 2 has been approved and scheduled by the Government. For anyone who missed that, the plan is that we will officially move to Level 2 at midnight on Wednesday, so from Thursday we can go out in public, go and see family, or take a trip to the beach. The main conditions are that we limit gathering sizes to 10 people or less and keep our distance from strangers in public. Schools will re-open from Monday (thank goodness, lol) and they will have their own safety procedures in place. The only exception is bars which will open the following Thursday.
I’m sure we all have our exciting plans in place for what we want to do this weekend. I’m hoping to go down to Taranaki to see family and finally collect my free firewood from the farm. Maybe getting your computer fixed in the near future is on your to-do list; if so we will be operating in much the same way during Level 2 that we have been during Level 3. You’re very welcome to bring your computer in but please contact us first via phone or email. Our Covid-19 safety restrictions are a whole lot easier to manage if we know when clients will be coming in. We can also come to you again if necessary but our preference continues to be working remotely where possible. We’ve found that our clients have been well on board with remote work as well – no one wants unnecessary contact with people outside of their (now extended) bubbles.
